Tired of will powering your way through diets?
In this episode, Lynsey Jase and Mike share 10 tips you can use to improve your relationship with food and learn to consistently eat the right amount.
1. Notice: Notice when you are getting full and stop eating (when you reach this point).
2. Portions: Plate nutritious and balanced meals.
3. No screens: Eat without screens.
4. Fork Off: Put the fork down between bites.
5. Halftime: Check in with your stomach halfway through your meal.
6. Find Flavour: Notice that flavour enjoyment is different from fullness.
7. Five Senses Mindfulness: Use all of your senses to experience the meal. As well as the taste, consider what it looks like and smells like. How does it feel and sound in your mouth as you eat it.
8. Wait: Wait 10 minutes before having seconds or treats.
9. Eat enough: You should find you get hungry 30-60 minutes before your next meal.
10. Post Check: Check-in with your stomach an hour after your meal and adjust portion sizes accordingly.
